Last night Itzhak Perlman played at the Bass Concert Hall on UT Campus… The first half was good but the second half was AMAZING. He started giving program notes and cracking jokes in between pieces. He played his famous solo from Schindler’s List and ended with Dance of the Goblins…
This would be a really cool event except for the price tag…

The evening will feature actors performing scenes from Shakespeare that address women’s issues (Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Kate & Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew, and Portia in The Merchant of Venice) and brief talks by each speaker on the contemporary position of women in society and what relevance Shakespeare bears on women’s issues today. Panelists will serve as part of the question and answer session of the evening, which will follow the speakers and scene performances.
